Polycraft's latest model, the 4.80 Brumby has taken its inspiration from customer feedback and incorporates the best features of Polycraft's existing range to create, in Polycraft's opinion, their best boat to date.
On the drawing board Polycraft identified some key criteria that the 4.80 Brumby had to satisfy - full pod transom, straight internal walls, wider gunwales, an overall better finish and stylish curved lines.
The full pod transom significantly increases the on water safety attributes, and provides a better planning surface for more efficient running and performance.
The prominent reverse chines that are part of Polycraft's original DNA are retained, and have been redesigned slightly to provide an even drier ride. The Polycraft characteristics of unmatched stability at rest and the ability to do high speed turns is retained.
Internal space has been maximised by incorporating the straightest internal walls of any Polycraft model to date. This not only produces a physically bigger boat internally but also provides a better support for the lower body when fishing.

A popular feature taken from the 5.30 Warrior model is the rear fold down lounge. This provides ample seating that easily folds away when not in use. An added bonus is significant storage with a large recessed storage bin located underneath the fold down lounge.
Providing usable storage was another important factor when designing the 4.80 Brumby. Every available storage space has been used, including having two rear storage bins located in the transom gunwale and a large front storage hatch.
The gunwales are rounded on the outer edge and have a new non-skid pattern as does all traffic areas throughout the 4.80 Brumby. The new design non-skid pattern not only looks great but is also easy to clean after a day on the water.
The consoles on the 4.80 Brumby have been designed to allow for improved instrument layout and placement of electronic accessories such as sounders and GPS's. The console screens are rounded and provide better protection from the elements.
Overall, the 4.80 Brumby provides more stylish features while retaining the benefits of Polycraft's core DNA - a durable, soft riding, low maintenance and affordable boat. The 4.80 Brumby is easy to tow and garage, whilst at the same time being of the right size to have both inshore and offshore fishing and boating capabilities.
